This year, Pinta Miami is curated by Irene Gelfman, Pinta Art's new global curator, who also developed the RADAR proposal; Giuliana Vidarte is the curator of NEXT; Felix Suazo curates several special projects outside the fair; and architect Daniel Fischer developed the fair's spatial display.
With vision and creativity, these renowned curators work to highlight the voices of the artists, the diversity of the galleries and to celebrate the Latin American imaginary.
Irene Gelfman is the Global Curator of Pinta Art.
She is also in charge of directing the special projects that seek to continue expanding Latin American art, promote the presence of contemporary Latin American art both in the local and international circuit; with the ultimate goal of giving visibility to emerging and established Latin American artists.
Under the curation of Giuliana Vidarte, the NEXT section of Pinta Miami offers the showcasing of 10 emerging galleries of significance within the contemporary scene of the region.
This year, Pinta Miami once again focuses on presenting special projects that, without a commercial purpose, aim to show fair visitors the current trends, issues, and aesthetics in the region such as the Amazon, textiles, community practices, among others. Under the curation of Felix Suazo, three special projects are presented in different areas of the venue.
